One of the first organizations to offer a Quality & Regulatory Development Program (QRDP), GE HealthCare excels in an industry that’s changing lives for the better. This program will build your Q&R knowledge and expertise so you’re ready to support our vision to be the leading innovator delivering precision health. 

Whether you’re ensuring the compliance of new healthcare products in a specific region,  contributing to global submissions and regulatory strategy for medical devices such as Ultrasound or CT scanners, or driving compliance and product quality for manufacturing, this program will give you the strongest, broadest foundation on which to build a successful career in Q&R.

We’ll also support your ongoing professional development in various Q&R disciplines, in leadership and soft skills, and in business awareness and Lean methodologies.

What to expect on QRDP

What you'll do
This is a chance to make a highly visible impact on GE HealthCare as you benefit from a unique program that’s proven it can develop the Quality and Regulatory talent of the future. 

During this intensive and highly rewarding 2-year development program of continuous learning, you’ll experience three 8-month rotations. In each, you’ll receive formal training and learn from your day-to-day responsibilities. Your rotations could cover any of the following areas:


  • Product Quality 
  • Regulatory Affairs 
    ​​​Production & Process Controls 
  • Complaint Handling 
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions 
  • Design Controls 
  • Supplier Quality 
  • Quality Assurance 
  • Pre and Post Market Product Surveillance 
  • Quality Management System Compliance
  • Audit 

Roles you could perform during your rotations include:

  • Regulatory Affairs Leader  
  • Product Surveillance Leader
  • Supplier Quality Engineer
  • Production & Process Controls Quality Engineer
  • Product Quality Engineer 

Your training will extend beyond the classroom, as you shadow GE HealthCare experts, visit various sites and learn what to do in the moments that matter. All under the watchful eye of a dedicated leader who’ll oversee your progress and mentor your growth.

What you'll develop
Knowledge and expertise
You’ll learn on-the-job, in classrooms, and from experts throughout your two years, building your product quality and regulatory affairs knowledge and expertise every step of the way.

Broad experience
You could find yourself in a Product Surveillance Engineering role getting experience of collaborating with engineering teams on product technical investigations. Another rotation could see you as a Supplier Quality Engineer learning how to improve quality performance for designated suppliers.  

Leadership potential
Through your role in live projects during your rotations, you’ll develop those all-important leadership capabilities, such as team-working, decision-making, change management and presentation skills.

Development
What you'll need
Given the scale of the challenges, responsibilities and opportunities in this program, you will need a Masters or Graduate Degree. Your Masters is likely to be in Biomedical Engineering, Science, Biology, Clinical Research, Health Policy, Health Product Regulation, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Science/Affairs, or other relevant discipline.

Crucially, you will need to show us your passion for and commitment to Product Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Patient Safety in the healthcare field. A global mindset is also important, and should be backed-up by analytical problem-solving skills and strong business acumen.
