Each year, the GLBTA hosts virtual and in-person meetings where GLBT employees come together for a workshops, panels, and events designed to build professional skills and broaden exposure to senior leadership.
GE’s commitment to the GLBT community is supported by the GLBTA as well as through inclusive benefits such as same-sex spousal benefits and bereavement leave. At GE, we understand that in this globally competitive environment, we cannot afford to overlook the opportunities that arise from developing the capabilities and potential of every person in our workforce.
"Diversity of all kinds is critical and diversity of thought tops my list. We need to hire and work with people who look, sound and think differently than we do. A company that is changing the world needs to reflect the world."

Cultivating the GE Leaders of Today and Tomorrow
Each year, we bring together hundreds of employees from across the company to regional or global summits that develop attendees both personally and professionally. Our mentorship program educates employees throughout the year in workshops and roundtable sessions that are focused on GLBT employees’ needs in the workplace and creating a more inclusive environment for all GE employees.
At our biennial conference, high-potential GLBT employees and their allies come together for a series of workshops, panels, and events designed to build professional skills and broaden exposure to senior leadership. We host a global Virtual Simplification Series, as well as global teleconferences such as our Leadership Forum speaker series, which features senior leaders in GE.
