PREPARE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY
What will your first day look like?
What should you wear?
In general, GE Research observes a business casual dress code. With over 50,000 guests coming on site annually, there may be meetings/events that require professional dress. When working in lab areas, closed-toe shoes are required at all times. New employees should check with their manager to best understand the expectation in their group.
What should you bring?
It is essential that you have proper documentation as you start with us. Below is a list of what you will need:
Within 3 business days of starting work for pay, you must present documentation that establishes your identity and employment authorization. You may present either one selection from List A or a combination of one selection from List B and one selection from List C.” Documents must be originals, copies are not accepted. A list of acceptable identification is listed here. You’ll either need one selection from List A, or a combination of one selection from List B and one selection from List C.
Note – a US license is NOT a sufficient substitute for any of the above. If you do NOT have one of the three identifications above, you need to complete the US Person Validation form on the offer site under “First Day Information” and email to itc.uspv@ge.com at least 5 days before starting your assignment.
