Role Summary/Purpose: GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Lean Specialist takes a global view of business process, with commitment towards excellence and continuous improvements focused on reduction of cycle time and implementation of a business cycle management process. Provides support to the functional leaders with the development, implementation and maintenance of the company's Lean Programs across the business. Ensures business engagement through AWO and events as well as train and educate staff in Lean methodologies
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with process owners to drive and support implementation of a new cycle management process; identify, prioritize and drive improvement opportunities that contribute to growth
  • Project manager and drive Lean initiatives to identify basic principles for lead time definition for manufacturing and transactional cycles. Facilitate Action Work Outs to generate action plans to achieve Business Lean Objectives.
  • Be a lean ambassador and train key leaders & process team members in Lean methodologies
  • Report results and issues to appropriate audiences including key leaders and process team members
  • Ensure that primary focus of Lean Initiatives team is quality of product and customer care.
  • Connect with current ongoing activities of continuous improvement to represent the voice of ergonomics while changing the lines and re-designing around operators
  • Be key role during observations and simulations of operator work to determine areas of improvements
Qualifications/Requirements:

  • University/College Master degree
  • Experience in Lean implementation
  • Project management skills
  • CAP skills
  • Ability to lead matrix or cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Green Belt Certified
  • Proficient English speaking and writing
