Role Summary/Purpose The Compensation Analyst will conduct data analysis related to the design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of compensation programs, including base pay, short- and long-term incentives, sales compensation , employee recognition, deferred compensation and both domestic and global mobility programs.
Essential Responsibilities Assist compensation team in key transition tasks related to compensation and mobility plans
Design and develop financial models and analysis to evaluate proposed compensation plan designs, in-year plan changes, and special programs.
Regularly provide analysis to assess effectiveness and quality of compensation plans and programs.
Make recommendations to improve compensation effectiveness based on an analytical assessment of plan performance.
Research compensation issues and disputes and provide analysis to facilitate resolution.
Research best practices internally and externally and apply key findings to achieve position objectives.
Participate in and organize data from market compensation surveys to assist with ongoing competitive analyses and pay program assessment
Evaluate market and economic trends to recommend adjustments to salary ranges, geographic differentials, merit and promotion budget percentages
Provide support to ensure accurate job classification and job documentation exists for all jobs
Assist in the design and maintenance of job leveling architecture and related salary ranges
Qualifications/Requirements A Bachelors degree in HR or Finance or related field is required.
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience with compensation and/or financial analysis and modeling is required.
A functional knowledge of statistics as applied in a business environment is essential.
Strong Excel skills are vital.
Use SAP, Sales Force, and Xactly preferred.
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are necessary.
Must be a self-directed, creative, organized, detail-oriented, results-driven individual, with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
The ability to multi-task is essential.
