Role Summary/Purpose The Lead Quality Engineer for Developmental Quality Assurance conducts activities to ensure engineering compliance to applicable regulatory, industry, customer, and company standards, processes, and procedures with regard to product development. You will provide overall Quality Management during engineering development. The Lead QA Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.
Essential Responsibilities
* Utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop, and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals; COMAC programs will be the focus for this position

* Drive overall quality for COMAC product lines, approving TG phases

* Act in conjunction with the program and product managers release criteria and quality objectives

* Ensure review of processes, procedures, quality objectives, QMS, and tools

* Ensure test records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the business

* Evaluate and publish COMAC specific quality metrics and test results to the project team and stakeholders

* Identify resource requirements for quality assurance tasks; identify test hardware requirements

* Provide technical direction for the Quality and Testing groups

* Plan, direct, and coordinate all COMAC quality assurance functions for assigned product lines

* Direct and coordinate the overall quality specifications and standards for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements

* Plan and coordinate the activities of COMAC quality staff by managing quality responsibilities as assigned including: Complaint Data, Compliant CA/PA Planning, Conformity Quality support, Execution, and Effectiveness Checks, Complaint file Closure and Trending

* Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality assurance functions for assigned product lines

* Direct and coordinate the overall quality specifications and standards for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements

* Plan and coordinate the activities of quality staff by managing quality responsibilities as assigned including: Complaint Data, Compliant CA / PA Planning, Execution, and Effectiveness Checks, Complaint file Closure, and Trending

* Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures relating to product complaint handling, adverse event reporting and product field actions through development, maintenance, and improvement of documented processes

* Develop and implement quality metrics specific to Tier 1 applications to drive improvements and business results

* Plan and supervise studies aimed at improving product quality and reliability

* Contact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues

* Assist other departments as necessary in formulating new products, establishing standards for these products prior to initial production, or overcoming difficulties in the use of company products

* Ensure a means of collecting and distributing compiled information in order to improve quality

* Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulations

* Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production quality

* Work with Six Sigma Quality team to drive process changes

* Conduct training to quality processes as needed

* Support regulatory compliance and optimization of COMAC related quality systems procedures relating to product complaint handling, adverse event reporting, and product field actions through development, maintenance, and improvement of documented processes

* Contact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific COMAC related quality issues

* Assist other departments as necessary in formulating new products, establishing standards for these products prior to initial production, or overcoming difficulties in the use of company products

* Ensure a means of collecting and distributing compiled information in order to improve quality

* Responsible for the administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards such as applicable ISO / AS / ANSI standards, possibly within C
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of IT or engineering experience)

* At least 3 additional years of experience in a software development environment
Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

* Capable of setting up an AS9100 certified facility

* FAA , EASA, or CAAC background / knowledge / experience
