As part of New Product Introduction team, this position provides design engineering leadership for the design and development of mechanical components, tools, and assemblies. This role requires the interaction with other cross-functional teams including but not limited to manufacturing and qu
Essential Responsibilities Duties include (but are not limited to):
Providing guidance for new product development and mechanical requirements in order to improve quality of new releases.
Accountable to choose mechanical design concepts and solutions, components, tools and methods.
Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
Leading mechanical design efforts with 3D CAD models and drawings for components, tools and assemblies.
Conducting analysis of reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR tools.
Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier and contractor interaction.
Technology development within assigned field to initiate development of new technologies.
Acting as activity leader within a project. (Time-plan, resource need, status reports, monitor costs, resource usage, technology requirements and solutions etc)
Acting as a mentor and support.
Participating as expert and partnering with the Quality team in design reviews.
Within the job competence cover possible patents.
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 7 years experience in a mechanical design-engineering role.
5 years relative work experience in the areas of Injected molded plastic design, cables & harnesses, labeling, and packaging.
Proficiency in 3D CAD PTC Wildfire software.
Proficiency in Pro E use.
Experience in design from concept to manufacture.
Experience completing technical documentation for engineering and manufacturing, specifically in a regulated environment.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Effective communicator with emphasis on writing procedures, specifications, proposals and reports.
Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and require minimal supervision.
Proven Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet simultaneous deadlines.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Master degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical design-engineering role.
Proficiency in AutoCad software.
