The GE Talent Community is a community of exceptional talent-engineers, healthcare professionals, scientists, technicians and experts-who are interested in the challenging, rewarding careers in GE's dynamic businesses. Our people are our greatest innovation, and GE's Talent Community is your first step to becoming a member of our exciting team.

The Talent Community is easy to join, and is open to anyone who is interested in GE career opportunities. If you're a prospective candidate, a past applicant, a current employee or an alumnus, we welcome you to join the Talent Community.

Q. What are the benefits of the GE Talent Community?

By joining the GE Talent Community you get automatic email updates for jobs that match your interests at the frequency you determine. You are in complete control of how often you receive opportunity notifications. These updates include the latest job opportunities, which you can share with your friends and family, or apply to yourself! As part of our community, you can also get invitation to events, webcasts, newsletters, career fairs, and much more.

Q. What are my job agents?

Job agents are the method by which the GE Talent Community delivers job opportunities to your inbox. Agents are based off keywords, locations, and frequency. You can modify your job agents here

Job agent keywords are common words that would occur in a job you're interested in. For example, 'Sales' or 'DBA' or 'Project Manager' are all keywords you could use to get your jobs flowing to your inbox.

Job agent locations are areas that you specifically are interested in for a job-'Chicago', 'Dubai', or 'UK' are examples of a location you could use.

And finally, the job agent frequency determines how often you receive these updates. These can be once a day, once a week, or once a month-however often you want to receive GE career updates that match your location and keyword interests.

Q. How do I manage my agents in the Talent Community?

You can login to the Talent Community here and scroll down to 'My Agents'. Here you can edit and change your existing agents, remove them completely (unsubscribe), or add new ones to receive additional updates to your inbox.

Q. How can I narrow down my search results?

A.

Need help narrowing down a large number of jobs to the perfect opportunity for your skills and talent? First, check out a page that may have your job listed-you can see a listing of many GE businesses, functional areas, and regions here.

When searching, be sure to utilize keywords that fit your opportunity best. If you can't find a position that exactly matches your skills, be sure to join the Talent Community and get updated when opportunities become available.

And finally, if you have a good set of search results to narrow down through, be sure to use our convenient filters. These filters will display jobs that match a specific title, location, or date.

Q. How do I search GE jobs by location?

A.

GE is present in over 160 countries, on six continents worldwide. Visit your Search by Location functionality here. Countries are color-coded to represent the number of opportunities you can find in each country.

From here, you can select individual countries and narrow down to specific states or cities. In the right-hand corner, you can zoom and pan to find locations that best match what you're looking for-but, if you get lost, hitting the 'Reset' button will return you to the main view.

In addition, if you know what sort of job you're looking for, enter the job title in the 'Filter by Job Title' field and you'll see a listing, worldwide, of all applicable positions.

Q. What are the GE Featured Job Categories?

GE's Featured Categories, found on the Home page, are a listing of the most popular and most active businesses that are looking for talented candidates. This list changes often and reflects some of the businesses that are looking for candidates like you!

Q. How can I tell friends, co-workers and others about GE jobs?

A.

When you receive updates through the GE Talent Community, you can forward the emails you receive directly to friends, family and co-workers.

In addition, when you see a business, functional area or region that will fit your friends' skills perfectly, use the Tell-A-Friend function and pass it on to them! You can send it to your friend via IM, email, blog or social networking. It's a great way to share GE's opportunities with referrals you think will fit GE's needs.

Q. How can I get an RSS feed of GE jobs?

If there's a particular business that you want to get updates on your Really Simple Syndication (RSS) reader or mobile device, you can find the RSS icon on any page for a business, location or functional area. You can also create an RSS feed based off of any search results you make-giving you an easy way to get notified of when job updates are available that match your interests through RSS.
