Role Summary:
Provide HR support for client group leaders, managers and employees on organizational and employee matters. Coach and influence employees and leaders, provide HR process expertise and manage other general HR activities. Serve as the HR Manager of record for a client group in Grand Rapids.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide HR leadership and expertise to designated group of employees and managers. Act as a first point of contact for them providing leadership, guidance and coaching with individual needs and HR processes.

Key activities shall include (but will not be limited to):

  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on:Employee Advocacy / Engagement
  • HR Fundamentals and Process Training
  • Employee Relations Management
  • Performance Management
  • Career Development
  • Talent Assessment
  • Acquisition and Retention
  • Workplace Investigations as appropriate
  • Employee advocacy, engagement & recognition
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
  • Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary action
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
  • Partner with leadership for top to bottom talent development
  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple senior leaders and employees within a complex business environment
  • Partner with the Avionics Engineering HR Business Partner to execute business-specific HR strategies
  • Conflict resolution
  • Meeting facilitation & new manager assimilation
  • Leverage Corporate, COE, and other best practices
  • Conduct HR training and support for functional processes
  • Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university or college (Or a high school graduate / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Resources, and / or Administrative Services)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Specialist and / or related field (can include internships)


  • Required to travel 5-10% of the time
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources from an accredited university or college
  • GE HRLP Graduate or graduate of a similar program
