Role Summary:
The Team Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals in a PSM chemical manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Provide leadership to a team that builds a team environment with safety as a top priority in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Provide total area leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to quality, cost, production and compliance
  • Coach work center team
  • Oversee daily work permitting for assigned area
  • Revise work instructions as needed
  • Support process / product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization
  • Lead to achieve goals in asset utilization, process / manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality, delivery and cost reduction
  • Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees
  • Provide total team leadership to continuously improve manufacturing, test, and process for all assigned products / processes
  • Pursue state of the art technology and processes to enhance product/process ability and delivered quality requirements
  • Provide leadership to support asset utilization, cost attainment, quality, delivery, budget, and staffing goals
  • Train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel
  • Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time
  • Provide ongoing support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of material to meet customer requirements
  • Participate in Team activities to meet identified goals
  • Provide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned Teams
  • Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
  • Support Production Manager in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role)


    Eligibility Requirements :


  • Ability and willingness to work 12 hour varied shifts and weekends
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Prior experience as a process leader and implementing productivity tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Corporate Training Program graduate (manufacturing / operations / engineering)
  • Six Sigma training or Equivalent quality training
  • Ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure they are met
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
