Role Summary: As part of the trainee program you will receive trainings and coaching from experienced leaders and workmates to get into the job responsibilities of an Account Manager at GE Healthcare Life Science. Account Managers are obliged to promote Research/BioProcess solutions offered by GE Healthcare Life Science, including GE products and technologies for protein characterization, cell culture, filtration, chromatography and cell analysis as well as consumables.
Essential Responsibilities: The responsibilities comprise details of pre-Sales and after sales support, working on public tenders and perceiving insights on sales negotiations in different Universities and Biotech companies. The geographical area is supposed to be around Munich/Bavaria. This position is limited up to 2 years.
Support the Account Management team in the area by the following:
Provide support to GE Healthcare customers during telephone calls, develop quotes for customers, perform joint customer visits with experienced sales and support teams, support product demonstrations, tradeshows, workshops and support the forecasting process.
Create leads, prospects and sales by offering products to customers
Communicate effectively to customers and colleagues - over the phone, face-to-face and present to larger audiences
Successful candidate will be a self-starter, self-directed individual in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment – showing strong team player capabilities
Possess good customer management skills and the ability to work in high- pressure environments
The candidate will leverage the broad GE training offering to develop him/herself into a sales role
B.S. or higher degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or related field and /or equivalent experience
Good communication, organizational and project management skills
Approximately 70% travel required (mainly DE)
Ability to work in a team oriented environment
