Role Summary: The North America (NA) consumer lighting market, is experiencing a tremendous technology shift as we move to more energy efficient products and smart home products. Major retailers are looking for strategic suppliers to partner with in winning this shift. The GM - Consumer Region Sales is responsible for leading a geographically dispersed team to drive profitable growth in the U.S. food, drug and retail distribution channel.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Developing and executing on a long term, retailer specific strategic plan to win the consumer technology and product shift
Partnering with Product Management, Marketing and other functions to growing Year-over-Year sales and margin performance at an accelerated pace as technology adoption rates increase
Leading a geographically dispersed and high-energy sales team in an extremely demanding and fast-paced environment
Establishing key metrics and objectives for the region team, clearly defining measurements for success
Developing and maintaining high level customer relationships, be the trusted advisor
Managing other operations deliverables, Promotional planning, monthly forecasting, etc.
Developing talent and building organization capability for the future
Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 8 years sales / marketing experience in consumer products industry
Masters’ Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 or more years of successful GE Lighting sales / marketing experience
Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Exceptional leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills
Highly customer centric, service oriented with the ability to execute and deliver sales growth
Demonstrated success establishing and maintaining high-level customer relationships
