Role Summary: As an entry level Accountant you will be responsible for performing basic journal entries with oversight and review from more senior accountants. You will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short term objectives.
Essential Responsibilities: Accounting of General Ledger entries & ensure completeness and accuracy Lead monthly and quarterly closing process of the assigned entities Responsible for preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly management reports Review account reconciliation for the assigned entities Responsible for analyzing monthly Trial balance and reporting on variances as required Reviewing General Ledger to ensure completeness and accuracy Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management Participate in preparing annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors & stat team Provide FP&A team with financial analysis and/or comments as required Preparation and submission of quarterly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis Provide accounting expertise to assist other areas in understanding financial information Participate in regional projects as required
Qualifications/Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance and Accounting) Minimum of 2 years related accounting experience General Ledger accounting experience is a must Very Good knowledge of US GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent command of English Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation Strong knowledge of Oracle Experience in closing and Reporting Ability to work and succeed within tight deadlines and closing peaks Self-motivation and discipline Good time management skills The ability to work independently with minimum supervision, a self-starter Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively in a team Proactive & Eager to learn more within and outside your area of expertise
