Role Summary: As the Digital Technology leader for the GE Additive site in Munich, you will manage a variety of hardware & software solutions across all lifecycle stages. You will be responsible for building strong cross-functional relationships with business partners at the on site and ensuring digital technology is effectively applied to support the business. You’ll partner across the broader DT organization to ensure local DT strategy is aligned with the broader product strategy of the business.
Ensure operational excellence at the site by effectivity supporting all digital technology resources, including personal computers, applications, network, server, audio/visual, printer, security, voice, and other infrastructure
Provide the above for GE Additive as well as other GE businesses co-located at the site, partnering with those businesses’ DT teams as necessary
Drive accountability from CoreTech and other supporting organizations to ensure the site is well-supported
Partner with business leaders and users to identify/evaluate/implement/improve business technology and processes
Apply Agile and FastWorks principles to maximize speed and re-use while being smart on cost
Ensure alignment between local and global DT strategy by building relationships with other GE Additive DT leaders
Develop and manage site IT budget, carefully evaluating and reviewing site IT expenses and investment
Maintain documentation on all IT systems, installations, and configurations
Ensure conformance of established IT architecture, standards, and practices
Own the resolution of IT issues in a timely manner (By the help desk or local support)
Coordinate and communicate all Change Management and Risk Management activities
Stay current with emerging technologies and promote their use
Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts, as required
Flex to provide remote support for other locations and/or drive global initiatives, as required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
