Role Summary: • Support Cell Leader for delivering department’s G&O in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost • Support the HSE implementation in the shop.
Essential Responsibilities: • Own 100% compliance on basic EHS requirements. • Own daily safety inspection (Forklift, LPG hose, Crane pre-use inspection, lifting gears' inspection and lifting safety) • Lead daily housekeeping standard improvement. • Lead the Stop Work Culture to achieve Higher Safety Standard. • Own 100% compliance on drawing and VGS requirements. • Own 100% compliance on parameter and machine calibration. • Lead strong quality culture and Stop Work practice to achieve high quality standard. • Arrange daily job loading to stations per Weekly Build Plan to achieve Quarterly Build Plan. • Own 100% compliance of M.O process in each steps (M.O clocking, On time start & finish, traceability and Stamp) • Prepare the readiness of next loading in advance (M.Os, Weld map, Grinding and WIP arrangement) • Prepare sufficient consumable in advance (Wire, Electrodes, Gases, LPG and contact tips, etc..) • Control operating expenditure per OP • Control effective overtime arrangement • Drive quality Friday projects to improve quality and safety in daily job. • To achieve 100% plan vs actual hours or equal.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Minimum ITI / ITE / Diploma / graduate in science. Alternatively he should possess an experience of more than 15 years in the field of cladding to meet qualification criteria of chargehand.
Desired Characteristics: • Should have thorough knowledge in cladding by SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and PTAW. Additionally, he should have knowledge in other welding processes such as FCAW, SAW etc. • Should be able to read and understand English. Should be able to interpret and explain to welders about Engineering drawing, welding symbols, WPS and MO and guide welder A, B & C as and when necessary. Should be able to train new welder. • He shall be able to manage shop resources and group of welders and shall be pro-active, willing to learn from mistake, hardworking, able to work in shift under pressure. • Should be able to create welding programme in computer and change accordingly. In addition, he shall have basic computer proficiency. • Good interpersonal skills and must be a team player.
