Role Summary:
The Scheduler will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others. You also have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals. Responsible for all day to day scheduling and planning activities focused on the final and sub-assembly production and service. In this role, you will meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning as well as establish the long-term planning and root cause analysis and resolution to improve the speed and make the scheduler job function quicker. Plan, schedule, coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) per production and service schedules. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies. Position requires understanding of concepts, methods, procedures and theoretical knowledge.
  • Daily Shortage root cause identification, investigation, and resolution
  • Work with all team members in resolving issues, tracking material availability, and advising on material shortages
  • Have daily communications with internal customers (Production, Sourcing, Quality, Service, Engineering, Sales…)
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill shop requirements thru scheduling and releasing production orders
  • Work extensively within Oracle ERP/ASCP and Microsoft Excel
  • Perform work in process, finished goods, and component inventory cycle counts, as required to ensure accurate shortage identification
  • Maintain and improve inventory planning and control systems to ensure that the right material can be received in the right time to support on-time fulfillment
  • Use problem solving skills to work through fulfillment and supplier issues
  • Works within a team setting under minimal guidance
  • Understand issues and opportunities within areas of responsibility and drive process improvements
  • Be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives
  • Execute short-term and some long-term business goals
  • Coordinate with team to convert planned orders to process orders
  • Manage daily and long-range scheduling with the Materials Planning team

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR college with supply chain focus OR related field (or 5+ years of comparable industry experience)
  • OR a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 5 years of experience in production scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning module – Oracle, SAP, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, assess, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables with frequently changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
  • Significant planning, scheduling or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated strong customer service and detail oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight time deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
