Role Summary:
As a University Relations Intern you will provide support to the Digital Talent Acquisition University Relations team to enable the smooth execution of processes, programs and projects across the team. You will serve as a key resource to intern program leaders in continuing to develop and support GE Digital’s year-round intern program.



Essential Responsibilities:
Operations
 
  • Facilitate payments and processing for events and programs 
  • Track, monitor and report on expenses 
  • Assist with coordination and scheduling of campus and conference events including updating and maintaining event calendars and shipping ad hoc requests as needed 
  • Monitor and maintain event properties, collateral and materials 
  • Assist with coordination of on-site super days including scheduling, resource coordination, catering and overall execution of events 
  • Help with coordinating staff and operations meetings for TAD-UR team 
  • Learn and understand the University Relations hiring process and assist with basic monitoring and maintaining of requisitions and candidate status as needed in the ATS
Metrics & Reporting
 
  • Develop, run and publish candidate status reports 
  • Participate in development and execution of University Relations Dashboard 
  • Learn and understand how to pull data and provide ad hoc requests from HireSystems 
  • Support data needs for briefings and presentations.
    Intern Program 
  • Assist in planning and coordination of intern events and initiatives 
  • Assist with process improvement projects including intern housing and assignment matching


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications: 

  • Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited university with at least Junior standing. Graduating December 2018 – June 2019. 

 Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. 
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen 
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Boston, MA 
  • Ability to work part-time (15-20 hours per week) March – May and full time over the summer (10-12 weeks). Ability to work flexible hours as needed



Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including high level Excel skills and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint 
  • Technically savvy with experience using different types of technology and data bases to get things done 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve independently as needed 
  • Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly with changing business needs 
  • Interest and experience in Human Resources and University Recruiting 
  • Experience with HR systems and in particular applicant tracking systems 
  • Experience in event planning and facilitation 
  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations 
  • Previous internship experience in a corporate recruiting and/or human resources role 
  • Experience with Kenexa/Brass Ring
