Role Summary: In this role you will be responsible for hardware owner ship managing design execution in NPI (New Product Introduction) phase, manufacturing release, delivery on time and certification of the component.
Support and manage design activities of component, in order to achieve performance and structural requirements, manufacturability, and business expectation – cost targets and delivery on time
Manage product definition
change in design process – 2d drawings, 3d models, stack-up’s
Lead structural FEM analysis in order to meet life and dynamic requirements
Understand and support manufacturing processes: casting, machining – grinding, heat treatments, special processes
Lead and participate in Technical Reviews with Senior Engineering Community and Program Leaders, support Program Control Board
Interface with Module Design and System Engineering in order to ensure capability and performance of LPT Module component focusing on engine performance and safety
Provide Technical support for Cross Functional Teams – Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Global Supply Chain
Proactively work with casting suppliers and machining shop solving manufacturability issues and simplifying production
Report status, schedule execution of design and hardware delivery to Program Leadership during status and tracking reviews.
Provide support to assembly Team, monitoring hardware delivery on time and provide technical support solving issues with hardware installation
Substantiate manufacturing Quality Notifications in production and quality systems, Manage Source Substantiation Validation (VSE)
Interface with Team Members providing technical support in CAD design activities and FEM analysis
Manage and outsource design activities to external Sites and Teams
Support instrumentation and certification of component according to Aviation Agency requirements
Conduct technical support during events, incidents, define root cause investigation and corrective actions in order to solve issues with engine operability, assembly and manufacturing
Develop and execute ideas for simplification, product robustness and cost reduction
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Strong technical knowledge of engine components, material durability, manufacturing processes and material application in aviation industry
Recommended experience with FEM Analysis (Ansys, HyperWorks) and CAD design (Unigraphics)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
Strong oral and written communication skills – English, Polish, Italian could be added value
Nice to have: knowledge of programming languages – Visual Basic
Strong technical, organizational and leadership skills
