Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of the person in this role would be to support various Senior Managers/Analysts in Market Risk and Balance Sheet Modeling functions, encompassing, but not limited to, the following broad areas:

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support the monthly ALCO process; 
    • Interest Rate Risk characterization - identify drivers of IRR exposures for NII and EVE 
    • Analysis of drivers of month of month variances for EAR & EVE risk metrics 
  • Support in establishing and maintaining integrity and accuracy of IRR metrics 
    •  Investigation & resolution of Data Integrity issues in QRM, including validation modeling assumptions on reconciling balances (GLRECON) 
    •  Reconciliation of base case NII forecast with Finance Blueprint and identify sources of variances
      -Design and implementation of a Backtesting process for NII based EAR metrics 
    •  Alignment of IRR and FTP assumptions/methodologies 
    • Identification and measurement of residual risks from the FTP process 
    • Data & Model governance 
    • Updating and managing the HPQC process
  • Supporting QRM initiatives related to Financial forecasting and Stress Testing 
    • Help with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new QRM use cases – eg YEST/Financial forecasting 
    • Review and validation of NII results for BP forecasts & the Yearend Stress Testing (YEST) process 
  • Supporting the quarterly Market Risk E Cap process
    -Implementation of IRR E Cap in QRM 
    •  Quarterly computation of Basis Risk E Cap overlay 
  • Support Product Control functions on Riskbox 
    •  Independent Price Verification 
    •  CVA/DVA analysis 
  • Ad hoc analytics using QRM eg ‘what if’ analysis of impact on IRR metrics of projected Treasury actions, Yield Curve changes etc


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 0-5 yrs experience in a Finance/Risk role 
  • Excellent analytical skills and willingness to learn 
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work with others in the team and others within the organization


Desired Characteristics:
  • Familiarity of firms’ Balance Sheet 
  • Familiarity with GECs Blueprint forecast process 
  • Understanding of basic accounting and the firms’ GL
