Role Summary:
Responsible in managing the transportation of freight, in an effort to meet our customers’ needs at the minimum cost. This includes initiating improvements in logistics operation, and facilitating a strategic outlook that will better serve all stakeholders. The role leads and implements key projects that improve tools, process, productivity, and compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential service providers in Canada. Key interface between service providers and Supply Chain.
  • Work with teams to resolve trade compliance and regulatory issues that come up with shipments into the country. 
  • Work cross functionally with Equipment, service and demo team to ensure service level and commitments are met. 
  • Work with project teams and carriers to ensure we are executing by getting product to our customer on-time with 0 damage 
  • Manage the process around freight being expedited into the region and charges that can occur with demurrage (drayage / chassis) 
  • Work with operations team and sourcing in providing the appropriate service providers for the region that meet service and cost needs 
  • Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customers’ requirements 
  • Drive standardization of transportation processes across the region 
  • Drive data analysis and business case development for key projects 
  • Owning Variable Cost Productivity initiatives / targets as per the targets and work crossfunctionally with various teams to achieve those target 
  • Responsible for on time delivery in/out of the country 
  • Developing, measuring and reporting process and performance metrics to drive improvements for service providers 
  • Working cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, supply chain and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes. 
  • Leading change initiatives that will enable logistics to reach a world-class level of operations

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management. 
  • Understands trade and compliance regulations in relation to moving freight into the region. 
  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve
    complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast paces changing environment. 
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. 
  • Proficient knowledge, understanding and leadership for International Trade Compliance, identify report and resolve any trade compliance issues. 
  • Proficient knowledge, understand and leadership for operating within security programs such as CTPAT and AEO to ensure that warehousing, packaging and transportation requirements are met. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain/Purchasing process procedures and work instructions and operates within them to ensure compliance to quality system. 
  • Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records tied to product
