Role Summary: The Dynamics Analysis Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals / programs / processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
In addiition you will :
Execute dynamic analyses for a wide variety of electric generator components and assemblies such as main rotor, exciter armature, and permanent magnet generator rotors, as well as stator subassemblies and housings
Conduct critical speed analysis and harmonic response analysis
Participate in planning and conducting operational vibration tests
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project
Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems
Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/ problems
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in related Engineering position
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Use of Ansys Workbench R17 or preferably R18
Support processing of experimental component data, whether from shaker testing or test stand operation
Use of test equipment such as Brüel & Kjær Pulse Reflex and the bi-directional transfer of data files
Generation of spectrograms, waterfalls and peak-hold plots
Perform on-site torsional analysis of components and generate standard work procedures for use of specialty equipment such as Ono Sokki demodulator
