Role Summary:
Is responsible for planning and optimizing the current production capacity within the IS component flow plant supply chain network. Will drive long term solutions to support volume changes and product strategies and leading the readiness process and the integration of the output from this process into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Process. Furthermore, this position will lead the SDS (Supply Demand Synchronization) reviews with their respective plants to ensure operational success.

Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, you will:

• Develop 12+ month capacity forecasts based on historical trends and upcoming demand requirements received through IBP process
• Develop and maintain global capacity planning models to most accurately reflect physical capacity, hiring/manpower plans, manufacturing capabilities and other key variables to support demand
• Create capacity plans which meet business targets and optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs
• Define meaningful metrics and processes for scaling and sizing capacity demands
• Perform capacity analytics to drive capacity optimization across the network
• Develop standard work, tools and best practices for capacity planning within the sites
• Implement reviews and standard templates for capacity planning and production readiness across the network
• Develop process solutions and integrate capacity planning within SAP system
• Monitor key business projects for associated capacity and performance drivers in order to anticipate and plan appropriate infrastructure
• Participate in meetings with cross-functional team members to support business initiatives and adjust capacity projects accordingly
• Determine capacity impact / feasibility of new products, product changes and work transfers
• Collaborate with supply chain on P&E investment strategy and prioritization

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience)
• At least 4 years of experience in a materials management, forecasting, production control or planning role

Desired Characteristics:
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
• Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
• Exceptional analytical skill set, including use of Microsoft products (excel, access, PowerPoint)
• APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred
• Knowledge of SAP
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a cross functional and multi-task environment
