Role Summary: The Life Care Solutions (LCS) Monitoring Solutions (MS) business is seeking an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with strong knowledge in Embedded hardware and Communication systems. This role understands the practical application of engineering principles, achieved expertise in Electronics Engineering, and investigates new techniques to find solutions as part of the team, responsible for designing/maintenance of product/subsystem solutions for global MS products
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Design, Develop and Implement - Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal circuits - Signal Conditioning circuits & Communication protocols (both wired and wireless) - Microcontroller / Microprocessor based systems – Interfacing with the ADC, DAC, and Sensors. - Hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills - Hardware testing and simulytics knowledge (tools and hands-on experience) 2. Circuit simulation & design, schematic capture, PCB design, board bring-up and integration testing - to ensure zero product defects. 3. Engage in all phases of development, including concept, architecture, documentation (FMEA, BOM) design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support as needed. 4. Monitors quality of product, initiates corrective actions as needed 5. Owns & drive hardware elements of CAPA, Investigations, NC, Complaints, SCR, ECR, Audit Observations, OBF, CSO, L4 cases 6. Ability to own and drive the hardware management including reviews and timely closure of various change requests in a compliant manner. 7. Works with CHU on hardware complaints trending, SPCR coding and hardware Investigations 8. Work with Supplier & Engineering on hardware change requests 9. Verify and validate the all hardware engineering change implementations including process, documentation, following appropriate approval matrix and ensure all the QMS goals are met 10. Manages part obsolescence issues pro-actively and initiates maintenance projects as needed 11. In addition to change responsibilities, drive the electrical test and verification activities related to MS products 12. Support all the QMS relevant audits 13. Identifies Product Cost Reduction opportunities and proposes technical solutions to execute 14. Identifies technical unknowns and risks, creates mitigation plans and works closely with LPI and cross functional teams to mitigate them. 15. Expertise with Electrical Design, single board computer and embedded device design and support
Responsible for Semiconductor design and engineering; designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. They determines design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC etc. Executes routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information. Works within a team setting and / or under guidance. Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. BE /B.Tech /ME / M Tech / MS in Digital Design / Embedded systems / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electronics and electrical engineering or equivalent degree 2. Around 4+ years of work experience in Digital, Analog and RF based designs 3. Demonstrated teamwork, coordination and communication skills 4. Highly developed problem solving skills 5. Experience in Electrical and Electronic solution designs
Desired Characteristics: 1. Knowledge in RF based system with good design experience in analog and Digital filter design 2. Knowledge of Signal and Power integrity in all the designs to ensure EMI / EMC and safety standards testing 3. Knowledge of UL or ETL or IEC standards and how they apply to designs 4. Knowledge in system reliability and reliability implementation 5. Self-starter, energizing, result oriented, and ability to multi-task 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills 7. Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets 8. Global project experience 9. Attention to detail and ability work with global cross-functional teams toward timely completion of a variety of assignments 10. Medical device design and support experience 11. Familiarity with GEHC MS products
