Role Summary: This role is primarily a Scrum Master role. The Scrum Master will facilitate scrum activities and will need to collaborate, negotiate and act as a conflict resolver and a servant leader for the scrum teams. He will guide the team on Agile principles and values. This role also demands the individual to be the change agent to help team adapt new methodology, identify gaps and drive improvements by working closely with stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities: Own and lead Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Reviews & Daily Stand-ups. Remove impediments in processes and team's work. Coach the team as process expert. Work with the Product Owner and Development Team to help them perform well. Build winning and self organizing teams. Brings transparency within team. Inspect and Adapt - feedback loop to the teams. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. A minimum of 8 years of professional industry experience. Experience in the field of Control System, embedded software or a related engineering field. At least 2 years as a Scrum Master or project manager or in a lead position with hands on experience to plan and track schedule and budgets, identify risks and plan mitigation.
Desired Characteristics: Technical: CSM (Certified Scrum Master) by Scrum Alliance. Good software development experience. Strong experience in different phases of Software Development Life Cycle. Experience in extensive Release Planning. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments. Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems. Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development task. Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective
Leadership: Shows ability to effectively delegate work. Driven large product programs for the Business. Driven cross-functional (preferably different poles/locations) deliverables. Worked with 2-party or 3-party application/platform vendors. Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill. Excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity. Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility. Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members.
