Role Summary:
The Field Services Team Manager - GE Additive will be responsible for managing all day to day field services and support deliverables of Field Service Engineers and Application Engineers within your assigned sub-region.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will :


  • Manpower plan, communicate to customers, schedule resources, and monitor daily activities and equipment to meet or exceed the requirements of customer deliverables (scheduled and unscheduled service events)
  • Drive lower cost of ownership, reliability and readiness, timeline, quality, safety, and other aspects
  • Review technical details of contracts & proposals to ensure risk, compliance & technical breadth meet our capabilities before offering to the customer
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching to direct reports & other departments to ensure product performance
  • Define, document, and manage the processes for all scheduled events (installs, PM’s, FMI’s) for your sub-region
  • Lead kick-off meetings and full customer communication and engagement plan for project and schedule events
  • Ensure that operation functions work at optimal efficiency, including personnel scheduling, monitoring
  • Monitor and manage the financial impacts the team activities have on forecasting / actuals of financial results and drive cost out projects, revenue leakage reduction
  • Talent development to meet the needs of our regional customers
  • Alignment with GE Additive growth initiatives and key strategies
  • Develop operating plan for human resource needs
  • Maintain connectivity with other business units within GE Additive, to include Sales, Applications, Engineering, and Materials
  • Drive maintenance contract profitability
  • Function as escalation point for all Field Service and Application Engineer matters within your assigned sub-region

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer support leadership role providing services (Including P&L responsibility; Experience managing a field service team)

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • PLEASE NOTE : Work Location listed is W Chester, OH. However, this position may be available at any U.S. location. This position may be eligible for the following flexible work arrangements (FWA) -- remote work
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in managing a Field Service Team supporting the 3d Printing Industry is a plus
  • Experience in managing a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both cross-functionally and vertically
