Role Summary:
The Supply Chain Materials / UX Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Driving optimal Material Availability and Inventory levels through leadership of Fulfillment, material planning, scheduling, warehousing, shipping, inventory control and production control 
  • Monitoring ERP inventory control system to direct the management of inventory levels and develops and applies metrics in accordance with strategic priorities 
  • Ensuring inventory levels are accurate and optimized to support continued, efficient production 
  • Designing and driving the introduction of processes and procedures designed to enhance productivity and control cost 
  • Collaborating with Commodity teams, Engineering and other functions to pursue supply base performance improvement, lead time reduction and inventory optimization
  • Ensuring appropriate training on systems and standard work to maintain employee competence 
  • Participating as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions and improvements 
  • Assuring the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership
    UX Specific Tasks 
  • Maintaining rotable pool of $300MM of service assets (UX – Unit Exchange) ensuring controllership and correct sizing to meet customer needs 
  • Managing UX planning activities to translate customer demand into repair point build plans 
  • Providing leadership to repair points and Service centers 
  • Developing and implementing spares release plans that assure inventory and service levels goals are met


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college 
  • Minimum of 6 years of leadership experience in inventory management, shop operations, facilitation and production control in a manufacturing environment, production planning, fulfillment / purchasing, inventory management principles and practices, or materials management disciplines


Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of remanufacturing and management of rotable pool (UX) 
  • Extensive ERP and inventory management experience 
  • APICs CPIM Preferred, Oracle 
  • Demonstrated Lean knowledge and application of skills
  • Strong Analytical capability and business acumen 
  • Project management skills 
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skill 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • People / Team development skills 
  • Ability to delegate 
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately 
  • Ability to effectively operate in a matrixed organizational structure
