Role Summary: Have you recently graduated from university within Operations Management, Engineering, Industrialization Engineering or Business and are you interested in a job where you will develop new processes and tools in a central position?
Essential Responsibilities: Become part of the Global Capacity and Planning team You will be based in our headquarters in Kolding, Denmark and work closely together with Global Operations functions. You will report to the director of Capacity & Planning management.
The Capacity & Planning management department is responsible for the capacity plans used in the global S&OP process. Among other activities this involves mapping production processes for new products (wind turbine blades) and estimating the needed process time and labour hours. The department has touchpoints with many different parts of the company both with the downstream commercial area and the upstream supply side from our 15 plants. Capacity & Planning management is part of the Glob al Supply Chain function.
Your tasks Your primary task will be to develop a model/process and a tool which will help assess the expected labour hours as input to business cases, scenarios and where applicable in plant budgets. Once the model is implemented, your task will be to operate the labour hour assessment process. In general, you will get familiar with the general activities in Capacity & Planning management, and be able to substitute the specialist in global operations planning.
Qualifications/Requirements: You have completed your bachelor in operations management engineering, industrialization engineering or business with good results. You are interested in learning, and can see different perspectives when looking at numbers. You will be in contact with many different people in our organisation, and you therefore need to be out-going and self-confident, and be good at communicating. English is our corporate language and we expect that you have a high level in written and spoken English. It is also a prerequisite that you have excel skills on a high level. You are committed to your work, and you can work both independently and in multi-cultural teams. We offer a dynamic and informal atmosphere The trainee position is an 18 months fixed-term position, and after this period, you are probably ready to move on to a new job, either within Global Supply Chain of which you now have a good understanding, or outside of LM.
