Role Summary: The Regional Logistics Specialist- Tooling, is responsible for managing On-Site Services (OSS) Equipment & Tooling coordination and mobilization for APAC/China Region. His/her responsibilities may include daily coordination on logistics with overseas counterparts to facilitate equipment fulfillment. Additional responsibilities may also include coordination on maintenance, calibration and general billing.
Essential Responsibilities: The Regional Logistics Specialist-Tooling will be primarily responsible for :
Handling of tooling for all regions and ensure that tools arrive at site ontime (based on project start date)
Coordination with various parties such as 3PL, OSS tooling centres in Aust, Rotterdam, Minniapolis.
Excellent communication skills.
Logistic knowledge for customs declaration
Ensure that tools are calibrated. Needs to have line of sight on when these tools needs to be calibrated, contact vendor for calibration.
Type of tooling to be sent to site, will be identified by Resource Manager and Service manager.
Have expertise and systematic approach to problem solving to effectively identify and solve equipment issues/problems
Coordinate in-house routine preventative maintenance and annual calibrations on field test equipment
You will also be responsible for :
Coordinating remote troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics to Filed Service team
Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records
Analyzing requirements and recommendations to monitor and support spare part inventory levels on assigned instrumentational kits
Maintain the condition and appearance of all kits & inventory
Support operational logistics on assigned kits/inventory to meet key deliverables
Contribute to operational KPI, quality process improvements, Risk reduction projects
Work closely with third party logistics service providers/tooling centers/Service team/Resource team/On-Site Specialists/Operation team on tooling’s requirement
Strict adherence to all Safety and Quality policies
Qualifications/Requirements: To be successful in this role, you would possess and/or demonstrate the following: • Degree qualifications in Logistics from a local or internationally recognised university. • Previous experience within logistics is essential. • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin is critical to this role as our customers and vendors are based in China • Able to demonstrate good time management and organization skills.
Desired Characteristics: • Strong interpersonal skills & experience working in Service Environment • Ability to operate heavy equipment (i.e. forklifts, etc..) will be an advantage • Experience in the maintenance of non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment or the use of NDT equipment or related equipment will be an advantage
