GE Marine provides Aviation-based gas turbine solutions to Military and Commercial Marine customers.
As Sr Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for leading sales campaigns to achieve top line revenue growth, work with US and / or International sales team to develop customer engagement plans and understand customer requirements.
You'll develop, deliver and negotiate winning proposals in response to customer RFPs.
Essential Responsibilities: And you'll be accountable for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Formulating and executing proposal strategy and sales agreements
Formulating deal structure, pricing, proposal development
Assisting in customer negotiations
Identifying new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth
Utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve proposal process
Developing vision a important market on the level of a product line with a long term perspective
Leading business development planning processes for this market
Application of complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems
Customization of products and systems to the individual needs of customers
Coordinating sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Sales / Business Development of high-value, high-complexity programs / products in military or commercial industries
Gas Turbine knowledge or experience with aero or aero-derivative engines
Direct operation of marine propulsion systems or related technologies
graduation from one of GE's Junior Officer Leadership (JOLP) or Sales / Marketing Leadership program
Demonstrated commercial (Sales / BD / Program Management) and technical expertise in Marine Gas Turbines and power / propulsion systems
Ability to build influential relationships with assigned US and International Navy customers, then develop and close business opportunities with those customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
