Role Summary: You will work with product managers to ensure strategic product direction is followed by conveying that strategy to the product development or change management team. You will communicate clear & descriptive requirements & partner with the development team to deliver products that balance the desire for new features with defects & technical debt. Your priority is to ensure that the product meets the stakeholder requirements, retains functional & technical integrity & is appropriately scalable.
In this role, you will:
Work with cross-functional (design, build, test, process) teams to deliver features and products
Provide input to the short-term product roadmap and product design
Participate in customer and stakeholder interviews to align product design with roles (personas)
Assist product managers to groom the product backlog; ensuring that an agreed amount of scope is always ready to move forward and identifying if this is not the case
Engage frequently with or be an integral member of the product development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, drive feature refinement, conduct testing and validation
Understand and follow the proscribed governance process and development methodology for product development
Translate customer requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in web/digital technologies including content management system such as Drupal, WordPress, etc.

Technical competency in the underlying design and architecture of large scale, global system solutions and application implementations with key focus on web properties, social media channels, digital tools, and mobile solutions;
First-hand experience with web development technologies and languages is strongly preferred, along with knowledge of content management platforms (like Drupal, WordPress, etc.), caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security
Competent Business Analysis skills and ability to translate requirements to enterprise software features
Experience working in a formal software development lifecycle environment following a formal project management and governance process;
Familiarity with waterfall and iterative software implementation approaches (Agile, XP, DSDM, Lean and FDD)
Demonstrates initiative to explore alternate approaches to solving problems
Skilled in documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
Has the ability to recognize and distinguish between technology choices
Can participate in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single perspective to the development team.
Demonstrates suitable knowledge of the competitive environment
Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to contribute to buy vs build recommendations, market timing decisions and scope of MVPs
Able to take ownership of small or highly defined tasks
Help peers and team members to understand the processes, tools and methods in use by the organization
Demonstrates and flawlessly communicates understanding of issues and rationale of solutions
