Role Summary: Dedicated to support the Heat Treatment operations of the using a variety of heat treatment equipment. Covering component repair of engines and third party activity across all product types. Activities will include component set up, machine programming, initial and final inspection of heat treatment run and part. This will all be done in line with the OEM engine manuals. The person will be required to be fully flexible across all activities within the team.
Essential Responsibilities: First 6 months of the role will be on job training on day shift however after the initial training the role will be either a day/afternoon shift pattern or permanent night shift.
Operate vacuum furnaces, air circulating ovens and local heat treat equipment (induction/ceramic belts)
Create programs to run parts on SuperSystems and Siemens software
Adhere to internal quality systems and AMS2750 quality standard
Undergo periodic training and testing to achieve the set standard.
Work closely with paint team and schedule oven slots to maximise business capacity
Creating and completing technique sheets accordingly
Create and complete relevant documentation on a shift by shift basis
Ensure compliance with GE policy, procedure and regulatory requirements and ethical behaviour.

Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Everyone at GE Wales is responsible for Quality, ensuring compliance at all times.
Able to work effectively in a self-directed team environment.
Able to demonstrate a background in providing high quality workmanship.
Able to follow engineering manuals and drawings with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong technical and practical skills.
High level of computer literacy
