Role Summary:
This key sales role on our Specialty Sales team is responsible for delivering profitable sales growth by driving sales at key national end users and by delivering value and differentiation of products to C-level within various organizations. Seeking out new business opportunities and driving acceptance for new products is an essential part of this Specialty lighting role.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Knowledge of the Southwest US market, local to territory, and ability to travel extensively throughout territory as needed
  • Sales of Signage products through distribution in Southwest US market
  • Delivery of profitable sales growth via key regional and national end user specification, solicitation or new distribution when appropriate, and extensive sign company OEM partnership building
  • Drive adoption of NPIs by targeting new customers and existing customer base
  • Provide market segment and customer intelligence and customer CTQs to Marketing for future product development
  • Assist with Voice of Customer for new product development
  • Additional responsibilities include weekly progress updates, quarterly sales and product mix forecasts, and other duties as assigned
  • PLEASE NOTE : Work location listed is Other, TX (Dallas). However, Position may be available at any Southwest, US location, convenient to airport access
    • Position requires extensive travel throughout the assigned territory


  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial sales experience (including LED related industry experience; experience getting to multiple levels of a customer's organization and driving toward successful closure)


    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :


  • Ability to travel extensively throughout territory as needed

    Desired Characteristics:

  • BA / BS in Marketing or Business from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of successful sales experience
  • Drive for sales excellence and growth, not for status quo
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation, technical / computer, and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable selling and troubleshooting technical products
  • Must demonstrate GE Values and Beliefs
  • Individual must be a creative and strategic thinker who knows how to go to market and become an "expert" in their assigned market segment
  • Highly customer centric, service oriented with the ability to executive and deliver sales growth and identify new product opportunities
  • Comfort level with collaboration throughout the Signage sales team
