Role Summary: The Digital Marketing Technology Leader is accountable for leading a team tasked with operational and strategic oversight and responsibility over the Life Sciences customer facing web platform, including UX design and development, CMS capabilities, PCM & DAM solutions, marketing automation, CRM integration, eCommerce capabilities, optimization & insights, analytics, and general IT project management.
This role will deliver enterprise web applications, native mobile apps and back-end services in an Agile software environment.
Leverage the latest tools and technology to deliver digital solutions which can meet the requirements for all Life Sciences businesses needs, while consulting these businesses on the best practices in deploying the technologies, as well as optimizing said solutions through customer insights.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Lead a highly motivated, efficient tech team which delivers integrated digital solutions ranging from web components & quality mobile apps, to services and platform solutions which build on a strategic digital tech stack.
Collaborate closely with business, product, creative, quality, service to define application features in an empowered team environment.
Handle performance, high-availability and stability in all deliverables.
Provide oversight, guidance, leadership and support front end and back end developers, marketing automation, and CRM specialists.
Assessing short-term and long-term capabilities that support the vision the larger commercial and marketing teams.
Act as subject matter expert for assigned area processes and supporting applications functionality and primary liaison to functional managers.
Responsible for project initiation and completion within functional area by directing activities of others, as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities in support of the Life Sciences business goals and objectives.
Accountable for delivery of goals and objectives assigned to the work group.
Responsible for people management activities including distribution of work assignments and assist with performance management.
Provide management of all applicable web platforms assuring continued improvement to serve life sciences customer web needs.
Maintain up to date knowledge on life sciences industry specific customer buying journey behaviors in digital ecosystems and foster a culture of constant improvement to meet changing customer needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Information Technology related or equivalent knowledge and experience
Strong experience in digital marketing.
Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports
Strong project management skills and creative abilities
Experience interacting with and coordinating multiple functions/stakeholders (e.g. Legal, IT)
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills Website development experience
Ability to influence diverse stakeholders
English language fluently spoken and written
Able to operate at a senior level and to build credibility with P&L management teams, Corporate GE and GE HC leadership
