Role Summary: This role is responsible for EHS compliance, ensuring a safe work environment and minimizing accident risks at GE Additive sites focused on additive printer manufacturing and lab operation. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet site and business needs, manage issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the business EHS strategy.
Overall responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute and ensure site operations are in compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulatory and GE EHS management system requirements
Develop and communicate across direct organization site EHS imperatives, goals and initiatives
Collaborate with operations to drive implementation of programs such management of change and stop work that drive a proactive and positive safety culture
Manage EHS projects from funding through implementation
Conduct learning teams in response to EHS events and conduct / validate accident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions
Conduct EHS audits in support of compliance assurance activities
Provide tactical issue resolution and training at the facility level
Support Additive business EHS leader on execution of business EHS priorities
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in interpreting and applying state and federal OSHA regulations as well as other regulatory standards (i.e. ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NEC) in a manufacturing or R&D environment
Master's Degree in EHS or related science or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8 years professional level experience in interpreting and applying state and federal OSHA regulations as well as other regulatory standards (i.e. ANSI, NIOSH, NFPA, NEC) in a manufacturing or R&D environment
Professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM or equivalent) or desire to attain certification
Chemical management and product related regulatory (TSCA / REACH) experience
Demonstrated program and project execution skills with ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks on tight time schedules
Ability to influence and interface effectively with all levels within the business as well as organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies)
Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality certification (for GE internal)
