Role Summary: VCP (variable cost productivity) is a key customer value differentiator and competitive advantage for Imaging business growth. VCP engineers are key part of Imaging Engineering COE and VCP team to drive product and service cost out.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Expertise (>8 years) on electrical circuitry and digital design 2. FPGA NIOS/MCU/DSP and eCOS, Linux, Vxworks software design and considerations 3. Altera FPGA datasheet and usage guidance, selection (MCU/DSP as well) 4. Prefer to VHDL coding, timing constraints, I/O termination, simulation, familiar with Altera Quartus II tool. 5. Able to development firmware architecture flows down from system requirement/diagram/schemetic 6. >5 years engineering experience in embeded RTOS system firmware and/or software design. 7. Able to development software architecture flows down from system requirement/diagram and its protocols 8. Remote service, error handling, mistake proofing
Qualifications/Requirements: 1.Electrical Engineering or equivalent 2.8 years engineering experience and technical knowledge in determining electrical design required to meeting products requirements and applicable national and international codes/Standards/directives 3.Demonstrated ability to build lasting cross-functional relationships, including strong influential and communication skills 4.Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills and leadership 5.Ability to effectively present information to project management and to customers, subcontractors, and suppliers, demonstrated understanding/experience with the VCP and NPI cycles 6.Ability to write specifications, procedures, and manuals that conform to prescribed style and format 7.Ability to generate ideas and execute projects to simplify electrical design. 8.Ability to synthesize information from different engineering disciplines Quality Specific Goals: 1.Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Management System, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3.Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4.Drive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control and program milestones 5.Identify continuous improvement activities by initiating the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives 6.Ability to perform Engineering Analysis to ensure Electrical Design Integrity of the product to meet environmental & operation conditions specified
Desired Characteristics: 1.B.S./M.S. of engineering or related fields 2.Demonstrated capability and experience program verification and validation planning and execution 3.Demonstrated capability and experience with VCP, value engineering, Should Cost analysis and process 4.4 years of experiences in electrical designs, including schematic，PCB design, cable and so on 5.Proven track record of exceeding performance expectations 6.Knowledge of GE Healthcare products, VCP and NPI process, and engineering working systems 7.Solid oral and written communication skills 8.Strong interpersonal skills
