Role Summary: As an intern with the Corporate Healthcare Accounting team, you will have an opportunity to learn about corporate benefit accounting and controllership. All assignments will allow you to develop core competencies needed to succeed in a business environment.
Preparation of daily wire payments to suppliers
Request additional information from suppliers as necessary to support out of range balances
Preparation of monthly account reconciliations
Preparation of monthly employee pay-all wire payments
Assist in the monthly Admin payment process
Support for the overall Healthcare Accounting team
Must be a full-time, matriculated student at an accredited college or university for the entire internship
Must be a Senior or in Grad School with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Must commit to one year (no summer internships)
Must meet minimum hour requirements:
20 hours per week during school
40 hours per week when school is not in session
Must be authorized to work in the US
Basic knowledge in accounting and finance concepts including preparation of journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
Demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
Ability to learn fast and work in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
