Role Summary:
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and troubleshooting AC and DC power systems within telecommunications and datacenter applications. You will rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals, complete tasks, and solve key customer issues in a timely manner.



Essential Responsibilities:
As the Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Consult with the customers, installations staff and team to determine the hardware, systems, and cabling requirements associated with projects and/or customer issues
  • Individual will be on call 24X7X365 for emergency repairs and/or support
  • Evaluates and recommends corrective process plans as well as other services to maintain top quality customer service and expected results
  • Configures and performs problem diagnosis and recommend solutions for critical issues
  • Installs and upgrades systems as needed
  • Maintains ongoing phone support and customer service objectives
  • Maintains customer relations through issue management
  • Date entry and maintenance of critical information systems and tools
  • Orchestrates dispatch of parts and services as needed
  • Is a technical expert on the products and ability to make timely decisions on repair and customer issues
  • Provides support for internal quality information feedback loop
  • Provides user support including problem diagnosis and resolutions in all the above areas
  • Maintains and details technical documentation including manuals, processes and method of procedures
  • In field repair of systems and/or technical assistance
  • Consult with customers, installations staff and team to determine the hardware, systems, and cabling requirements associated with projects and/or customer issues
  • Evaluates and recommends corrective process plans as well as other services to maintain top quality customer service and expected results


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of industry work experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the Telecom Industry as it relates to testing, commissioning, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing critical power systems (<600VAC & 600VDC)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% including nights, some weekends and Holidays
