Role Summary:
As part of GE Digital, supporting GE Aviation (GEA) the Director for Program Management will be responsible for the Agile delivery to support highly complex cross disciplined GEA Digital products that span multiple GEA Digital organizations and various other stakeholders within GE. This role will be responsible for defining and executing GEA Agile framework to drive adoption of the Agile transformation.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Allocate/distribute work to others based on business priorities to maximize outcomes
  • Define and implement Agile processes for coordination and communication between organizations and with GE stakeholders
  • Establish Agile framework that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a operating cadence.
  • Ensure ongoing communication of progress against Transformation objectives
  • Proactively identifies and resolves issues and makes recommendations for improvements to existing Agile processes
  • Ensure that the Agile product development process abides by all defined cross-discipline standards and all compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Manage risk and dependencies between organizations.
  • Provide strategic inputs into S2 and other business activities.
  • Be responsible for managing the work deliverables of Agile Transformers (including direct and dotted line) globally across GE Aviation
  • Manage other people managers and individual contributors.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to direct/indirect reports within a broader team.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience along with established leadership across the discipline and function

    Eligibility Requirements

    Desired Characteristics:

    Technical Expertise:

  • Experience and expertise of the Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SaFe, etc.)
  • Proficiency with various agile and collaboration tools like Rally, Aha, and Confluence.

    Business Acumen:

  • Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Effectively manages risk and uncertainty for self and team.
  • Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined

    Leadership:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing across a complex, global matrix organization.
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions

    Personal Attributes:

  • Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
