Role Summary:
Brand and digital marketing strategy and execution for the business. Leads application of brand and execution of design work, as well as storytelling strategy to drive awareness and build pipeline. Oversees strategy and activation of content production, paid media and audience insights, and community development. Work spans web, print, and experiential channels, as well as new mediums such as virtual and augmented reality.

Essential Responsibilities:

(Brand and Design)

  • Partner with GE Digital Creative Director on application of brand throughout web, collateral, and experience design
  • Design and produce visual elements for multiple channels - ability to design for scale (100x100 ad or large scale experiential graphics)
  • Cross-platform thinking, and solid understanding of web design and user experience principles (UX/UI)
  • Interface with agency partners on design and execution of branded materials

    (Advertising and Media)

  • Creative thinking around ad formats, and campaign creative, working in partnership with leadership team
  • Proficiency with inbound campaign and end-to-end audience behavior analysis (full funnel)
  • Proficiency with media planning
  • Expert understanding of ad products, formats, and analytics tools, existing and new in the industry
  • Comfort with pipeline forecasting and commercial objectives for the team, and ability to tie that back to media planning and activation
  • Manages relationships with agency and platform partners

    (Social Media)

  • Ownership of social media content calendar, following creative and content strategy set by leadership team
  • Maintains and evolves tone of voice, communications standards on an ongoing basis
  • Gather and report on audience trends and community engagement
  • Comfortable with content testing across platforms
  • Expert understanding of social media trends and platforms and ability to evaluate new opportunities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other GE Digital marketing teams, enabling colleagues with content and engagement insights
  • Manages relationships with agency and platform partners
  • Budget management and activation for community development activities

    (Storytelling)

  • Partners with GE Digital storytelling leadership (Creative Technologist, Creative Director) on story priorities
  • Sources, Edits, and Organizes visual storytelling assets (video content, product demo assets, podcasts, photography), maintaining a library of content assets
  • Can oversee execution and launch of storytelling assets
  • Technical Expertise (desired, depending on job focus): Expertise with Editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder)

    (Production)

  • Close alignment with storytelling and brand teams, driving written and visual standards throughout content production
  • Understanding of content in use across the organization and ability to make format recommendations driving brand standards and usability
  • Drives proactive cross-functional communication around production timelines and processes
  • Close collaboration with marketing operations team around content factory technology stack, and production processes
  • Understanding of SEO strategy and activation across content initiatives
  • Understanding of web CMS platforms, and technical requirements for site development and maintenance
  • Early ability to forecast resource needs based on workload across the organization
  • Budget tracking and management for production activities

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, New Media or Film
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, brand, creative experience, digital marketing, digital strategy, or content production
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Must be willing to travel >15%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Boston, MA or NYC, NY
