Essential Responsibilities:
Role Summary:

You’ll be responsible for the daily execution of regional Operations and Service Delivery focused on implementing Compute solutions in enterprise level Data Centre’s. You’ll partner with regional Solution Architects to achieve GE IT strategic goals, and deliver solutions to GE internal customers. Work within a cross functional shared services teams to technically design Infrastructure products/services that meet specific regulatory requirements consistently and efficiently. Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to provide technical insight, direction, decision and support. You’ll work with multi-national/regional teams to bring products to customers and transition the support of products into Operations and Delivery teams within the region.




  • Technical point of escalation for local System Administrators, DB Administrators, Middleware and authentication services
  • Support local Infrastructure teams and partners to execute work deliverables
  • Help align local team skills and resources to meet workloads
  • Provide technical insight, support and candor to execute the leadership vision and strategy
  • Collaborate to define Infrastructure solutions for new products and services including Windows, Linux, AD, VMWare, Storage, Backup and Database. Broad and wholistic IT Infrastructure knowledge
  • Lead Operational point of contact for vendor relationship management as related to IT tools, hosting solutions, Infrastructure services, DB and Middleware technologies
  • Willingness to learn, own and deploy new tools for the enterprise
  • Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies; make technology, process & application recommendations that add Business value
  • Support team deliverables; clearly recognized as a subject matter expert through knowledge sharing and peer development. Gain trust of local technical teams quickly
  • Coach and grow a technically adaptable culture within the local team




Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Substantial technical experience across Computing and Infrastructure industry
  • Experience with implementing Compute solutions in enterprise level Data Centre’s
  • Substantial technical experience implementing and managing Windows, Linux, AD, VMWare, Storage, Backup and Database
  • Proven problem resolution skills through technology
  • Proven experience managing project plans and tasks
  • ITIL certified

Must currently hold or be eligible to apply for UK SC clearance

Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong communication skills, work across technical teams at all levels of organization including technical 3rd parties, senior managers and executive level.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across the technology stack
  • Experience delivering solutions common across Compute, Network and Client
  • Experience in building technical solutions across numerous GE organizations, partners and suppliers
  • Willingness to grow their awareness of budget, resource allocation and performance development of the local technical teams
