Role Summary: The Affordable Care Solutions business is seeking for a Senior Program Leader. As part of the Leadership Team, the Program Leader works with the Business and technology leadership team to deliver on the business vision through NPI introduction. The Senior Program Leader will provide strategic leadership, manage multiple programs/projects for the Affordable Care Solutions business. Also, directs a virtual team (cross-functional & engineering) to accomplish the business goals and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities: • Develop and own product delivery road-map through programs & projects to realize the business strategy working closely with the Product Management leadership and Technology leadership team. Driving product planning and multi-generational product/platform road-map execution for ACS • Proactively engage with Business leaders and Technology leaders to identify opportunities for creating new products and business improvements in ACS • The role is expected to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery. • The position drives clarity by defining and prioritizing the program objectives, critical success factors and deliverable for the team. Additionally, the Program Leader motivates the team and drives a sense of urgency on meeting program commitments. The Program leader is expected to identify, coach and develop Program Integrators s and Program Managers • Cross-functional project execution leadership including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field delivery • Working with the Business Team and program leadership team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features • Solicit product feedback from customers and lead cross-functional teams to drive customer support • The program leader will be responsible for the establishing and managing vendor partnership and manage the contract staff
Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Drive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones 5. Identify continuous improvement activities by initiating the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives 6. Coaching and mentoring in order to develop the program management pipeline and make a broader impact in the organization
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline or Bachelors Degree or equivalent 2. At least 15+ years of relevant industry experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience in program leadership including managing cross-functional teams 3. Ability to lead by influence, build execution/NPI road-maps, product cost productivity roadmap, develop long term vision to tactical actions and connect strategy to execution across global boundaries 4. Experience in End-to-end ownership from NPI program definition to program delivery and complete product lifecycle management 5. Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ’s 6. Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle 7. Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards
Desired Characteristics: 1. Leadership experience in design of Healthcare products for global markets, program management practices, operations, technology development and cost productivity for products with specialization in Life Saving Life Support Healthcare products. 2. Demonstrated experience driving variable cost productivity (VCP) and Inventory Carrying Value (ICV) reduction to enable optimized product margins 3. Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 15 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field, including 8 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development, or research development) 4. Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment products 5. Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area 6. Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle 7. Excellent knowledge in engineering, program management and business planning processes having experience with the full product lifecycle 8. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation 9. Demonstrated LEAN skills
