Role Summary:
The Additive E&T Chief Technology Officer is a key member of senior leadership, driving the growth of a world-class organization. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible to provide visionary, strategic and tactical leadership for products, and technical support of the business. The CTO will have ~5 direct reports and partner with the Customer Support, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales to influence the business strategy and assure excellence in execution of the E&T deliverables.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Will Include :


  • Develop and drive long-term roadmaps, focusing on robustness and sustainability
  • Serve as a key member of the E&T leadership team, setting operational and strategic priorities and processes
  • Work with Product Management to determine Product Requirements
  • Team with the VP, Engineering and Technology, to drive relevant New Product Introductions (NPIs), operating mechanisms and NPI execution
  • Lead the development of the product requirement specifications for NPIs
  • Determine modality, material, software and technical support (including Supply Chain) needs, defining the implementation and sustainability requirements for the teams to implement
  • Build strong partnership with government and regulatory bodies in forming policies to capture industry, customer and business needs
  • Meet with customers to understand technology needs and product usage
  • Lead team of modality and software Chiefs, assuring leverage of knowledge and expertise into the roadmaps and technical reviews
  • Assure quality products by providing leadership to the organization in quality techniques and management methods, including driving the activities of the controlled title holders in the organization
  • Responsible for improving E&T excellence and continuous improvement via technology and personnel development; foster the Technical Career Path
  • Drive the prioritization and resource planning of deliverables to support business goals
  • Design to cost, design for reliability, design for manufacturability, design for serviceability
  • Design, validation and verification of the product as a part of robustness development

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited University or College
  • Minimum of 15 years in development and / or support of industrial equipment (Including familiarity with MRL and TRL)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a cross-functional capacity

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited University or College
  • Business Planning: strategic thinker with ability to drive change
  • Demonstrated competency in providing leadership to cross-functional aspects of technology development
  • Multi-generation technology planning
  • Executive level communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
