Role Summary:
Overall responsible for construction management for substation project based in Macau/Hong Kong, newly build or extension project, with/or without civil works
He/She needs to lead / manage the site activity with subcontractors such as civil works, M&E, and electrical equipment installation & testing; timely coordinate with customer and project team, overall control the construction & installation. Key performance indicators: budget, On time delivery, Quality, Customer Satisfaction and EHS.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction project from equipment deliver to completion
- Understand in depth contracted scope of work and technical specification with client, and contracted with subcontractors such as civil works and installations
- Manage the site construction/installation cost within contract budget, oversee and limit the potential change orders may raise from site subcontractors
- Build up project schedule per contracted completion date, tracking the project in depth to schedule deliverable, and review the work progress on daily basis
- Oversee all onsite construction, installation, testing & commissioning to monitor compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Planning the resource in a cost-effective manner for site vs.. schedule such as system engineer, secondary system testing; commissioning, GIS; Power transformer site supervisors
- Coordinate and direct site engineers, site supervisors, and all subcontractors
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status;
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Keeping tracking site construction progress, and coordination with project director/manager, design manager, site engineer and GE expediter on various issues and progress reporting, raising red flags and submission of daily/weekly/monthly reports;
- Site quality assurance and project safety management

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor or master with electrical engineering or civil engineering preferred
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience having project management, engineering and site management skills, experience on international project sites
- Advanced knowledge of site management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of HV substations products, installation; commissioning details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Good knowledge of civil works construction & mechanical installation is an advantage
- Competent in conflict and crisis management, capable of working under pressure
- Leadership, time control and human resources management skills
- Quality Safety Management skills
