Role Summary:
Drives efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse at a release level. It requires deep understanding of architecture, scalability, availability & performance considerations and its impact on release engineering. Will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, upgrading databases on cloud. Will work closely with Predix DevOps team, the Cloud Ops team, key architects and clients.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
• Use technology expertise, Industry & competitive intelligence and deep knowledge of customer preferences to conceive, evaluate, design & deliver superior product / service through implementation of Build, Release and Continuous Integration systems to ensure that products meet and exceed requirements.
• Develop effective as well as innovative infrastructure and systems that provide consistent, predictable and scalable methods to ensure accurate product builds and reliable release schedule that ensures product features in alignment with the long-term plan for the product/service.
• Drive new ways of thinking, across groups within the division, to improve quality, engineering productivity, and responsiveness to feedback and changing priorities.
• Find opportunities for collaboration across groups in the division, ensures that cross-team commitments are set, and achieves scale in work efforts by enabling the work of others.
• Tailor communication to a variety of audiences and perspectives, and anticipates issues to prevent conflict.
• Provide subject matter expertise in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.
• Choose the appropriate internal or external technologies, incorporates research, creates designs that are reused across the team, and is an excellent judge of practices that work well.
• Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the release strategy.
• Resolve issues outside his or her area of responsibility and opens discussions with peers and takes action when needed to ensure the success of the product.
• Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge and helps the organization gain the competitive edge.
• Be an industry expert in Build and release function, represents the organization in industry events and provides thought leadership and visionary thinking.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies and\\ or data center management and development
• Successful experience in B2B environment
• Proven leadership in dealing with customers from industrial sector
• Fluent in both Russian and English languages

Technical Expertise:
• Strong Postgres database development skills (functions, triggers).
• Experience in Java, github, Jenkins, Predix, Cloud Foundry, Amazon AWS/RDS, Cassandra/Datastax, data warehouse data modelling is desirable
• Deliver a CI/CD pipeline for industrial applications.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for development and customer support.
• Some Oracle and/or SQL Server database development background.
• Significant experience with Linux/ Unix Operating systems and one or more scripting languages (e.g. bash, perl, python)
• Significant experience in automation and scripting using Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Bash, CFEngine, etc on Linux/Unix
• Experience with one or more of the following: Artifactory, Nexus, or other artifact storage tool
• Knowledge on Maven and/or other build tools
• Applied experience with modern application technologies and design patterns including Cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, horizontal scaling, and database technologies
• Proven success working with and optimizing applications for large scale enterprise performance
• Embraces technology trends that drive intelligent automation
