Role Summary:
As the Sr Lifecycle Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the Digital Technology efforts for the Loves Park, IL BGA&IS facility. In this role, you will partner with the local leadership team and address the strategic and tactical Digital issues impacting operations. This role requires strong project, interpersonal, leadership, compliance and change skills. The individual will report functionally to the Digital Technology Leader and operationally to the Site Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a variety of functions in the program
    management domain including delivery of multiple products, product areas, or
    platforms, management of issues, roadblocks, dependencies, overlaps,
    over-scopes, and communication management.
  • Accelerate the brilliant factory roadmap by optimizing
    factory operations through introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies,
    improve machine monitoring and increasing productivity.
  • Leverage modern data integration and visualization tools to
    develop supply chain data and process analytics
  • Works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver
    technology solutions for the business
  • Communicates across direct organization and across the
    Digital Technology function in area of expertise
  • Presents to senior leaders in specific technical space and
    on cross-functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to
    overall strategy
  • Drive operations and strategy for all areas of IT including
    shop floor technology and applications
  • Evaluate opportunities within the shop and across the value
    stream to further the GE digital industrial journey
  • Evaluate new user technologies (office automation and
    collaboration tools, mobile devices, wearables, etc.…) to improve overall
    employee experience and increase productivity
  • Partner with the other Electronic Value Stream Sites Digital
    Technology teams to address Digital requirements.
  • Engage, select and direct IT contract and vendor resources
    as required
  • Integrate and operate with other site DT leaders on
    initiatives that impact the Supply Chain sites
  • Coordinate with all remote CIO / CTO groups & technology
    services organizations on infrastructure upgrades, application rollouts, and
    operational support
  • Focal point for site Data Security / Privacy procedures and
    processes 



Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information
    Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma /
    GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology
  • At least 5 years of experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven skill in both business planning and information
    technology
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS or other ERP applications with
    additional hands-on experience
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and computing
    infrastructure
  • Discrete manufacturing experience
  • Able to use Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Capable and influential at project management
  • Quality and cost driven
  • Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics,
    Brilliant/Smart Factory, and Machine Monitoring
