Role Summary: The successful applicant will work as part of the GE Inspection Technologies organisation. The incumbent will be self-motivated & reactive, working to meet short deadlines. This is a permanent position based at GE Sensing EMEA, Shannon, Ireland.
Essential Responsibilities: The Warehouse Operator will perform multiple duties to support a variety of manufacturing areas. Primary functions are including but not limited to stockroom inventory control, material delivery to production area and accurate materials movements within the plant and packing, shipping and processing of finished goods.
Use the Oracle or SAP operating system to launch all manufacturing WIP jobs per the backlog file.
Ensure all WIP jobs are closed once manufacturing activity is complete before any material movements take place.
Expedite material through receiving and inspection as needed for WIP jobs.
Ensure Cycle Counts are current in Area of Responsibility and support as required.
Use the Oracle or SAP system to reconcile inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy above 98%.
Lead inventory control within assigned work center.
Kit large order jobs in advance of assembly and maintain the order and inventory integrity in advance of manufacturing.
Partner with the front-end planner responsible for the manufacturing areas to ensure on time delivery of items and orders are ready to ship
Pack and pick orders on daily shipments reports to ensure orders are ready for daily shipping using Sap reports and tools
Educated to Leaving Certificate level or equivalent knowledge and experience
Proven years’ experience in manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal written or verbal instruction
Ability to work on a wide variety of differing tasks on a day to day basis to include but not limited to receiving, kitting, cycle counting, packing assembly
Flexibility to work overtime as required after normal shift or on weekends as needs dictate
Must be willing to raise conflicting priorities to the appropriate level for resolution
