Role Summary: This role will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all inbound and outbound logistics from GE Healthcare’s Repair Operations Center. Candidate will be responsible for managing shipments, reporting transportation metrics, ensuring that internal customers’ needs are met and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to.
Essential Responsibilities: • Schedules, Coordinates and Tracks both Domestic and International shipments • Continuous internal communication with global pole managers/transportation teams • Coordinating and communicating shipment delivery requirements with freight forwarders • Primary contact for global affiliates in reference to the logistics in/out of ROC • Responsible for timely, accurate and complete record keeping • Support standardization of transportation processes across the site • Working cross-functionally with operations and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes. • Support warehousing optimization/Lean projects • Perform logistics distribution duties in compliance with current GDP as per annual GDP Training and local procedures’ • Responsible for actively monitoring and reporting on logistics OTD and schedule attainment
Qualifications/Requirements: • Engineering or Supply Chain bachelor degree or 4+ years’ experience in operations or logistics showing growth in the role • Microsoft Office suite proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint) • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced changing environment • Ability to interface with Customers and Suppliers in a business professional manner
Desired Characteristics: • Lean Certification • Six Sigma Green Belt • Energetic and passionate personality • Experience with logistics industry • Experience with manufacturing operations • Working knowledge of IATA and DOT regulations as it pertains to the transportation of radioactive materials
