Role Summary:
The Sourcing Leader owns the main sourcing activities and manages the US Services sourcing team in charge of all sourcing & procurement activities of the region, from Tenders to Customer Sales orders delivery. You will work in accordance with the Group / Unit sourcing Strategy and policy.



Essential Responsibilities:
The US Sourcing Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will use your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals. This role is the Sourcing voice across the US P&L, managing a team of buyers and expediters.

As the Sourcing Leader, you will:

  • Connect Strategies & CTQs with Global Sourcing playbook to support revenues & profitable growth
  • Understand and Address Market Needs: Cost and Planning targets - Capacity, Capability and Localization requirements, Market Trends
  • Monitor Sourcing Systems KPIs
  • Lead and coordinate NPIs, Cost Out actions
  • Support tender platform Costing and Supplier Identification in line with Strategic Vendor List
  • Promote Strategic Vendor list for customer acceptance
  • Develop strong distribution network to optimize business cycle time and drive deflation
  • Deliver accurate and best equipment Solutions, Cost & Lead Times, to identify & address ITO Sourcing Related Risks
  • Tender projects forecast process. Advanced releases / Book&Bill opportunities management
  • Tender Negotiations – Customer’s T&Cs flow down
  • Be responsible for GE PC VL and Customers’ Tier 2 Vendors restrictions management
  • Be responsible for 3rd Party suppliers’ development in growth business segments (Motors and drives repair, panel shops, E houses, etc.) in relation with Global Commodities
  • Be accountable for Strategic Deals Reviews - Risk Management
  • Execute with excellence Sourcing awarded Projects and Parts & Repair Sales orders
  • Be responsible for Equipment and Parts PO placement, Change Orders, Fulfilment, and Supplier Payment
  • Project Sourcing Dashboard management
  • Maximize Value gap (Project savings)


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a sourcing role, and team management)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing
