Role Summary:
Determine and minimize the company's worldwide tax liability with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide tax laws. Seasoned, senior level manager requiring in-depth understanding of regional tax issues, the oil & gas industry and how their role integrates with others within their discipline. . In this role you will translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to external environment, and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development. 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Direct the tax strategy, planning and operating responsibility for the product line 
  • Interface with CFO and other senior management on all matters affecting tax in the business
  • Coordinate with the O&G Tax Operations Leader to establish internal policies and procedures for internal and external reporting of taxes, payments of tax liabilities, conduct of tax audits and overall management of tax risks                                                                                                                                       Minimize the business' tax cost, while complying fully with the laws of all relevant jurisdictions, and help drive growth
  • Provide guidance to deal teams on structuring and negotiating asset acquisitions and dispositions, including documentation of transactions and managing outside tax advisors
  • Ensure flawless execution, controllership, and risk management of all transactions and structures for assigned area of responsibility
  • Partner closely with business leaders to ensure that they understand and implement the requirements for achieving the business’ tax objectives, and drive business growth and success Partner with the Corporate Tax Center of Excellence (COE) & GETS
  • Leverage technical resources at the COE and provide support to the COE on COE-driven projects and initiatives for division.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, in finance, law or accounting and accredited accountancy qualification or qualified lawyer, specialising in tax.
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification tax experience in public accounting, law firm or industry.
