Role Summary: • Provide guidance and oversight for program implementation of Employee Health Services function across the GE site, including specific regulatory compliance, occupational health, prevention, and wellness promotion • Ensure appropriate compliance with local regulatory and GE standards including occupational medical surveillance programs • Work with Regional Medical Director, Site HR to drive corporate and Site specific health initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities: • Partner with Site EHS, Security and Facility leaders to implement cross-functional initiatives such as providing medical counsel for Site Emergency/Crisis Management Team • Advise management team on leading edge occupational health & wellness and mental health practices, including credentialing of hospitals, clinics, providers to ensure quality of care as well as the development of strategies to achieve lower costs for employees and GE • Champion and drive the execution of Health Ahead initiatives and educate employees on health-related topics - Oversee disability management process and provide medical advice and consultation to business with objective of minimizing days away from work and facilitating safe and timely return to work • Provide on-site clinical services • Monitor local trends and institute corrective action as required • Responsible for sourcing, assessment, and coordination of external health management service providers • Represent GE externally in the medical community, as appropriate • Proficiency in English
Qualifications/Requirements: • MBBS or qualification included in the Schedule to the Indian Medical Degrees Act of 1916 or in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act , 1956 • AFIH Certification or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health Medicine • At least 3 years experience in manufacturing or service industry after qualification in Occupational Health.
